Course Description

病理學主要在研習各種疾病時，人體內細胞、組織、器官及全身各部在結構上與功能上之傷害與影響；探討疾病之病源、致病機轉、病發時之主要症狀與病徵，及病變過程與預後等等，本課程為一學年，本學期二學分，以講演方式教授，每週共二小時。本學期在課程最後安排複習課程。

Pathology is the study of diseases. It is a bridging discipline involving both basic science and clinical practice. The aspects of a disease process that form the core of pathology are its cause, the mechanisms of its development, the structural changes, and the consequences of the morphologic change.

Course Contents

本學期﹙第二學期﹚以系統為基礎講授病理學各論，其包括﹕嬰幼兒疾病，內分泌系統疾病，骨與關節疾病，皮膚疾病，女性生殖系統疾病，乳房疾病，眼睛疾病，骨骼肌與軟組織疾病，中樞神經系統疾病及週邊神經系統疾病。

Course Objectives

本學科之主要教學目標在使修習者能知悉各類疾病名稱；對其病源、致病機轉、病狀及病徵、病程與預後，及其組織結構與功能上之變化能有所了解，以奠定將來研習臨床醫學及從事深層疾病研究之根基。
